It’s a Midrash! Because Jesus did not perform the function of the Messiah, the authors of the New Testament had difficulty demonstrating in what way Jesus could be the Messiah. They could not quote Messianic passages—at least not much—because the reader would realize that Jesus had not met the definition of the Messiah. Therefore, the authors of the NT would need to invent new functions of the Messiah, quoting and misquoting passages irrelevant to the definition of the Messiah in order to make it appear that Jesus fulfilled numerous prophecies
It is sometimes troubling to Christians that typically a Jewish believer in Jesus is Torah ignorant.
In response to Dr. Brown’s response ( https://yourphariseefriend.wordpress.com/2016/10/23/dr-bros-response-to-comment-429/ ) Dr. Brown The purpose of this dialogue is that we put our respective arguments out in the open, so the public can see them and judge for themselves
Undoubtedly, one of the most important doctrines of Christianity is the moral purity of Jesus. The missionary would have one believe that Jesus lived a perfectly sinless life, which makes him the spotless Passover lamb.
The Totality of Scripture Judaism and Christianity are two different belief systems. They differ from each other on foundational issues such as the identity of God and atonement from sin. Definitions – An Open Letter to “Concerned” Reader Dear Concerned Reader I am writing this letter not only in response to a recent comment of yours ( http://yourphariseefriend.wordpress.com/2014/12/21/channuka-excerpt-from-contra-brown/#comment-16337 ) but my letter addresses your entire approach in your comments on this blog. Response to Concerned Reader Concerned Reader This letter is in response to your recent comment – http://yourphariseefriend.wordpress.com/2014/10/19/open-response-to-charles/#comment-15505 In this comment of yours you present some arguments in favor of the Christian faith and you accuse Jewish critics of Christianity of intellectual dishonesty. All of your arguments have been already been refuted in the course of our discussion but it seems that you have forgotten that which is convenient for you to forget.
Exonerating the “Sinless” – another open letter to Concerned Reader (in response to comment – http://yourphariseefriend.wordpress.com/2014/06/01/the-guilt-of-books/#comment-14742 ) Concerned Reader So you stand by your accusation that my statement – “without Christianity the holocaust would not have happened” – is highly inflammatory and is based on mere speculation.
